For its second performance of the season, Summer Stage at Black Hills State University is presenting Oliver! a musical based on Charles Dickens’ novel “Oliver Twist.” The musical, which tells the story of the orphan boy who asked for more, will be performed for two weekends.
Local students participating in the Black Hills State University Summer Exploration Institute (SEI) will have an opportunity to showcase their projects from the week-long academic camp during a Renaissance Fair Friday, June 20 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on the lawn in front of the Clare and Josef Meier Hall.

Richard (Dick) DuBois, artist and longtime professor of art at Black Hills State University, died May 21. Dick, who began teaching art at BHSU in 1969, officially retired in 2004 although he continued to teach and paint.
