Internationally recognized Russian pianist Mila Belakova will present an evening of solo piano music at Black Hills State University Thursday, May 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the Clare and Josef Meier Recital Hall. She will be performing works by Bach, Mozart, Liszt and Chopin.

The Grace Balloch Memorial Library was recently honored by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) for its ten years of dedication as a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site. For the past decade, the library has been collaborating with Black Hills State University to provide tax assistance to primarily low income and elderly individuals.

Black Hills State University's School of Natural Science is collaborating with the Prairie Hills Audubon Society and the Clean Water Alliance to conduct a meeting on the proposed rare earths mine in the Bearlodge district of the Black Hills National Forest.  This public informational meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 23 at 6:15 p.m. in Jonas Hall 204.
