The 10th annual Black Hills Research Symposium (BHRS) will be held April 1-3 in the BHSU Student Union Jacket Legacy Room. The symposium will include student research presentations as well as a keynote address by Dr. Jose Alonso, laboratory director for the new Sanford Underground Science and Engineering Laboratory at the former Homestake Mine in Lead.

Black Hills State University will host Tony Diem, a researcher specializing in aquatic biology, for the March 28 lecture of the spring Science Seminar Series at 4 p.m. in Jonas Hall, room 305 on the BHSU campus. Diem will present “Antarctica, Minding Your P’s: Photosynthesis and Primary Production.”
