A group of Black Hills State University students will use their spring break volunteering on environmental projects in the Pacific Northwest. The BHSU Community-University-Resource-Exchange (C-U-R-E) office is raising funds for the fourth annual Alternative Spring Break Trip. The six day excursion will begin March 15.

Researchers at Black Hills State University’s Center for the Conservation of Biological Resources (CCBR) and the Western South Dakota DNA Core Facility (WestCore) have had a paper titled “The Complete CDS of the Prion Protein (PRNP) Gene of African Lion (Panthera leo)” accepted for publication in the journal Virus Genes.
