Wells Fargo Bank in Spearfish recently donated $3,000 to the Black Hills State University Foundation.
According to John Senden, Wells Fargo Banking president in Spearfish, “Black Hills State University is an outstanding institution. It is committed to teaching its students valuable skills and core values such as community involvement, leadership, and service. At Wells Fargo, we believe we’re only as successful as the communities we serve, so we’re committed to providing the resources that our communities and educational institutions need to grow and prosper.”
The donation will provide scholarships to freshmen education and business majors at BHSU.
In 2007, Wells Fargo donated $1.2 million to more than 280 nonprofit organizations and schools throughout South Dakota. The company also raised over than $609,000 for nonprofit organizations during its annual support raising campaign to help local communities.
