Katrina documentary to be shown at BHSU

Saints Rising, a documentary about the reconstruction and rebuilding efforts in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina, will be presented Thursday, April 17 at 7 p.m. in Jonas Academic Hall room 305 on the Black Hills State University campus.

The Sociology and Human Services Club and Alpha Kappa Delta are hosting the viewing of the film, which was written by Hailima Yates and Joe Rogers. The creators of the documentary will answer questions and hold a discussion after the documentary viewing. Refreshments will be available.

The event is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted to assist those affected by the disaster and to help assist the creators on further projects.  For more information, contact Anastacia Schulhoff, president of Alpha Kappa Delta, at AnastaciaMSchulhoff@st.bhsu.edu.
