Black Hills Jazz Festival to be held April 7 at BHSU

Twenty-seven middle and high school jazz bands and choirs from three states will participate in the annual Black Hills Jazz Festival Monday, April 7 on the Black Hills State University campus.

All performances run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Choir performances will be held in Woodburn Auditorium.  Band performances will be held in Clare and Josef Meier Recital Hall.  Following the performances, the awards ceremony will be held in Meier Recital Hall at 5 p.m. 

Wyoming schools include Sundance, Gillette, Lusk, Douglas, Sheridan, and Guernsey Sunrise.  South Dakota schools include Stanley County, Lead-Deadwood, Sturgis, St. Thomas More, Miller, and Jones County.  Bayard High School from Nebraska is also attending.
