Track and Field make final preparations for national meet

The Black Hills State University track and field teams put the finishing touches on their preparations for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Indoor Track and Field Championships Wednesday.

Scott Walkinshaw, head coach for BHSU track and filed, was pleased with the team’s preparedness. “I feel that our team is ready to go,” said Walkinshaw.  “We have had a good season and the national meet is for individuals to really shine. However, I am looking forward to seeing how the team finishes in the standings for both the men and women.”

The NAIA track meet will begin Thursday, March 6 and run through Saturday, March 8 in Johnson City, Tenn.

Results will be made available on www.naia.org after the meet.
