Lantis endowment fund established at BHSU

Dr. Kay Schallenkamp (far right), Black Hills State University president, accepts a donation from Mary Ellen Lantis at the annual Cowboys and Candlelight dinner held recently at the Spearfish Holiday Inn. The Lantis family donated $11,000 to establish the Lantis Endowment Fund. Ten thousand dollars has been endowed with the additional $1,000 to be awarded in the spring of 2008 and the fall of 2008. The endowed fund will be used to support the BHSU rodeo team at BHSU with travel reimbursements and student scholarships.
