BHSU hosts national History Day competition

Bryce Metz, a junior from Spearfish high school, explains his History Day project on the United Auto Workers strike during the 2008 District Six National History Day competition held recently held on the Black Hills State University campus. The theme for this year was "Conflict & Compromise in History." National History Day is a nonprofit education program dedicated to improving the teaching and learning of history in elementary and secondary schools. More than 170 students from eight regional schools took part in the competition at BHSU.
