BHSU Retired Senior Volunteer Program recieves funding

The Black Hills State University Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) has received $4,500 in donations from area organizations and businesses, including a recent $2000 award from the MDU Foundation.

RSVP received $1000 from the Greater Belle Fourche Area Foundation and also from the Sturgis Rallies Charities Foundation.  Black Hills Power also donated $500.  Those funds will support volunteer mileage reimbursement and transportation, which gives volunteers a small mileage reimbursement for their volunteer service when they deliver Meals on Wheels or drive an elderly person to the doctor.  The MDU Foundation grant will be used to recognize volunteers.
