BHSU Career Center to host conference with keynote speaker

Black Hills State University Career Center will host “Beyond Your Resume: A Career Management Conference” Sat., Feb. 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the David B. Miller Yellow Jacket Student Union Jacket Legacy Room.  The conference includes lunch, several sessions for career development, and keynote speaker Jeff Beals.

Beals, from Omaha, Neb., is the author of Self Marketing Power: Branding Yourself as a Business of One.  Beal currently serves as Vice President of Operations at Coldwell Banker Commercial World Group, a commercial real estate company and teaches real estate at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.  Beal’s keynote address, titled “From Don’t Know You to Can’t Live Without You,” will reveal rarely used tips for getting jobs.

Registration for community members is $25.00.  The conference is free to BHSU faculty, staff, and students.  For more information or to reserve a seat, contact the Career Center at Careers@BHSU.edu or call 642-6219 before 4 p.m. Feb. 6.
