Black Hills State University departments of music and business are sponsoring “The Original Fabulous One Guy,” Gordy Pratt, Tuesday, Nov. 20, at the Northern Hills Holiday Inn.  This special performance is entitled Gordy Pratt: The Entrepreneurial Musician!  Proceeds from the event will go toward music and business scholarships at BHSU.

An accomplished writer and seasoned performer, Pratt has 35 years of experience in the entertainment business and does over a hundred shows a year. He has appeared on ABC's Good Morning America, numerous public television shows and has opened for Kenny Chesney, Michael Martin Murphy, Glen Campbell, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and many more.

Pratt says, "As a tall, only child I grew up entertaining myself. I moved around a lot and I learned that the quickest way to make friends was to make people laugh."

Dr. Janeen Larsen, chair of the department of fine and applied arts, and Dr. Priscilla Romkema, dean of the college of business and technology say that co-sponsoring this event is an exciting opportunity for those of us in music and business at BHSU.  We look forward to continuing this music-business partnership through this very special event on the 20th!

The evening will begin at 5:15 p.m. with a social, including a cash bar, followed by dinner at 6 p.m. and entertainment at 7 p.m.  To make reservations, please call 642-6212 by Nov. 16.  The cost is $30/person and checks are payable to Black Hills State University.
