BHSU community music groups begin rehearsals Aug. 25

The Black Hills State music department invites area musicians to join community music groups: band, choir and orchestra. All rehearsals begin the week of Aug. 25. 
The community band meets from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Meier Recital Hall. The community band is open to wind and percussion players. David Berberick is the new director of the ensemble and BHSU’s newest faculty member. He can be reached at david.berberick@bhsu.edu or 605-642-2641.

  

The community choir rehearses from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays in Meier Recital Hall. The choir is open to all singers. Contact Jon Nero at jonathan.nero@bhsu.edu or 605-642-6628 for more information. 

The Dakota Chamber orchestra is open to string players and also rehearses from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays in Meier Recital Hall. Christopher Hahn will be directing the orchestra and can be reached at christopher.hahn@bhsu.edu or 605-642-6888.
