Spearfish second-graders visit BHSU science labs

DSC_0282_lamb_web.jpgDr. Charles Lamb, professor and chair of the science department at Black Hills State University, works with second graders from Spearfish West Elementary. Nearly 150 second-graders visited the Black Hills State University science laboratory this week as a conclusion to their unit on insect life cycles.

“They come to our lab as a part of their unit on insect life cycles. We use aquatic insects to investigate life cycles, insect anatomy, aquatic ecology, and microscope use,” Lamb says.
