Throughout the fall 2007 semester, the BHSU Science Seminar Series, which is open to the public at no cost, features lectures/presentations given by guest researchers or BHSU resident researchers/professors. The series is sponsored by the Science Department and the South Dakota – IdeA Networks of Biomedical Research Excellence (SD-INBRE).
The objective of the lecture series is to introduce BHSU undergraduate and graduate students to cutting edge scientific research. The majority of the lectures are biologically or biomedically oriented; however, the series also integrates a diverse array of scientific pursuits, such as, chemistry, geology, and psychology.
The final lecture for this semester is Dec. 7 at 4 p.m. in Jonas Hall, room 305. Dr. Allan Ashworth from North Dakota State University will present “The Extinction of the Antarctic Tundra Biome”
