Dave Wilson, assistant professor of visual arts at Black Hills State University, recently presented a three-hour cartooning workshop at the Wyoming Secondary Art Educators Association fall conference.

The conference, which BHSU has participated in for over 25 years, is a biannual event that combines in-service and art display.  The fall conference was held in September at the Ranch A Education Center near Sand Creek, Wyoming.

Wilson presented the practical use of cartooning to approximately 35 teachers.  James Knutson, professor of art at BHSU, says “the response to Dave Wilson’s workshop was overwhelming and they are very interested in inviting us back next year.”

Wilson received his master’s degree in fine arts from Illinois State University.  He has been a member of the BHSU faculty since 2004.
