RSVP receives donation from Black Hills Power

web_RSVP_BHP.jpgThe Black Hills State University Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) received a $500 donation from Black Hills Power Corporation recently. Ruth Lettau, RSVP Sturgis office coordinator; Dr. Lois Flagstad, BHSU vice president of Student Life; and Nancy Wietgrefe, BHSU RSVP director, were on hand to accept the funds from Lee DeLange (far right), representative from Black Hills Power. The funds will be used to help RSVP continue to serve the area communities. The Northern Black Hills RSVP, sponsored by BHSU, currently  has 511 volunteers in four counties and last year served nearly 100,000 hours doing various duties such as Meals on Wheels, tutoring at the schools, working at area thrift shops, food pantries, serving at hospitals or nursing homes, or helping at the chambers of commerce and museums.
