BHSU announces homecoming queen and king, mom and dad

Black Hills State University seniors Scott Schiefelbein, industrial technology education major, and Stacy Anderson, psychology major, were elected homecoming king and queen for Swarm Days 2007.

Anderson, daughter of Roger and Robin Anderson, is from Douglas, Wyoming.  She is active as a resident assistant in Heidepriem and Humbert Halls, currently serving as president of the Residence Hall Association.  She is also the swim coach for the Black Hills Gold USA swim team and a lifeguard at the Donald E. Young Sports and Fitness Center.  After graduating, Anderson plans to pursue a master’s degree in student affairs in higher education.

Schiefelbein, son of Bill and Barb Schiefelbein, is from Clear Lake.  He is active in Rec Sports and the Technology Club, and organized the first BHSU Intramural Golf Tournament.

Drs. Priscilla Romkema and Tim Steckline were elected Swarm Days Mom and Dad.  Romkema is dean of the College of Business and Technology at BHSU.  Steckline teaches classes in speech, mass communication, and theater.

This year’s Swarm Days theme BUZZing through the Decades continues through Saturday, Oct. 6 with each day dedicated to a specific decade and events, including Disco Dancing on Wednesday and the football game on Saturday.
