BHSU will host the award-winning ensemble Mauvais Sort at Meier Recital Hall Sept. 25, 2007.
Mauvais Sort, an award-winning French-Canadian ensemble, will perform a free concert Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 3:30 p.m. at Black Hills State University’s Meier Recital Hall.

The group features five musicians performing on a variety of instruments and has won awards in their native Canada for best ensemble and best traditional album.

Mauvais Sort will be in Spearfish as part of the Arts Midwest World Fest, a community-wide cultural exchange program.  The program brings traditional music ensembles from all over the world to Midwestern communities.  Spearfish was selected as one of only eleven Midwestern Cities to host the 2007-2009 Arts Midwest World Fest.  The main public performance of Mauvais Sort will be held at the Spearfish High School Auditorium on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 7:30 p.m.
