Wells Fargo in Spearfish recently donated $3,000 in academic scholarships for Black Hills State University students.
John Ainsworth, Wells Fargo home mortgage consultant, John Senden, Community Bank President – Spearfish, and Adam Patton, Spearfish store manager, present Shauna Junek, BHSU director of development, a check for $3,000. The donation will be used to provide academic scholarships for BHSU students.
The donation is one of many contributions the local bank has made over the years. “The continued generosity of Wells Fargo is proof of the strong relationship between BHSU and the business community. We thank Wells Fargo for their support as the scholarship funds will continue to transform lives at BHSU,” said Steve Meeker, vice president of University Advancement at BHSU.
The donation will be used for two business and one education scholarship.
“BHSU is such an important part of Spearfish and the Northern Black Hills region,” according to John Senden, Community Bank – Spearfish president. “Wells Fargo could not make a better investment than helping educate our future leaders and continuing our long term partnership with BHSU.”
