 Kaitlin Schneider
Nicole Faas

BHSU students Nicole Faas and Kaitlin Schneider graduated last weekend as University Scholars from the University Honors Program after successfully defending their capstone project. The two were featured as the final presenters in the Geek Speak lecture series using it as an open forum to defend their research. Faas, who graduated with a bachelor of science in political science and speech communications, presented “The Surveillance Industrial Complex: American’s Privacy Crisis.”  Schneider, who graduated with a bachelor of science in psychology, presented “Distinguishing the Meditative Benefits of Drawing Within and Without Borders on Acute Stress.”

Geek speak, introduced by Dr. Courtney Huse Wika, assistant professor of English, is a new lecture series started this year that gives students the opportunity to learn about the diversity of studies on campus.
