A hands-on workshop, “Adobe Photoshop Basics,” will be held at the University Center-Rapid City Monday, May 12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Mac Lab, Room 103.

The SD Center for Enterprise Opportunity (SD CEO), located on the campus of Black Hills State University, has partnered with the BHSU mass communication program to bring this day-long workshop to the University Center.

“Adobe Photoshop is a great way for you to edit your graphics for print and digital media with its easy to use editing options,” according to Gina Gibson, BHSU assistant professor of digital media and workshop instructor. During this interactive workshop participants will discover:  how to open and save documents, design and layout basics, how to work with layers, and more.

Gibson has taught graphic design at BHSU for the past five years. She is an exhibiting artist and lecturer, and her work was recently seen at the Cynthia Broan Gallery in New York City and the National Taiwan Normal University in Taipei, Taiwan.
