A photograph by Adam Roosa, Black Hills State University alum and University graphic designer, is one of 25 images selected into the 11th Annual Photography Invitational Exhibition at the Advocacy for Visual Arts (AVA) Community Art Center in Gillette, Wyo.
This is Roosa’s second time being featured in the annual exhibition which promotes arts and artists. His photo “Drift” will be on display in the gallery form May 1 through June 26. A reception for the exhibition will be held Friday, May 16 at 6 p.m. at the AVA Community Art Center.
Roosa, who is also currently finishing up a second major in graphic design, took the photo during the early October Winter Storm Atlas which dropped more than three feet of heavy, wet snow in parts of the Northern Black Hills. The photo is a drift that formed on the front of Roosa’s car.
AVA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion and advancement of the visual arts.
