Twelve Black Hills State University senior art and art education students are exhibiting their work during the annual Senior Art Exit Exhibition in the Ruddell Gallery. An opening reception will be held April 4 from 2-4 p.m. with the exhibit on display through April 25.
The annual exhibit provides student with the experience of producing an exhibition. All art and art education majors participate in the exit exhibition as they prepare to graduate. The exhibition's purpose is to provide students with one last opportunity to show, on campus, a body of their work before graduation. Some students have compiled work from the last two years. Others have made completely new artwork just for this show.
Students displaying their work include: Anastasia Bush, Watertown; Carissa Doolittle, Midland; John Erdahl, Ten Sleep, Wyo.; Paige Follett, Rapid City; Sara Hadd, Rapid City; Kalah Hutchins, Evergreen, Colo.; Kaitlin Klopfenstein, Rapid City; Jacob La Cour, Rozet, Wyo.; Joseph Mayer, Presho; Makena Peet, Rapid City; Nathanael Reitzel, Rapid City; and Kim Smith, Rapid City.
The Ruddell is located on the second floor of the David B. Miller Yellow Jacket Student Union. The gallery is open during regular Student Union business hours. The exhibit is free and open to public.
