A workshop, Work & Life: Better with Balance, will be held at Black Hills State University Tuesday, Oct. 15 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in the David B. Miller Yellow Jacket Student Union Jacket Legacy Room.
Helen Merriman, director of the South Dakota Center for Enterprise Opportunity (SD CEO), encourages all employers, managers, and working professionals to invest in their workforce by registering their staff for this workshop. Merriman says, “Staff members who are able to balance their challenging workloads and their personal lives lead more productive lives and are more invested in their working environment. The fun and interactive environment of this workshop will encourage participants to make changes which create a more satisfying life.” Practical tips will be shared, and the following topics will be covered: definition of work/life balance; self-assessment; signs of burn-out; the relationship between resilience and balance; and individualized plans for improving.
Workshop presenter Leah Braun is a life coach and professional trainer who provides powerful, personalized life coaching and customized staff-development training for individuals, organizations, and businesses.
