The donation will be used to provide academic and athletic scholarships for BHSU students.

Wells Fargo in Spearfish recently donated $6,000 in academic and athletic scholarships for Black Hills State University students.

“BHSU is such an important part of Spearfish and the Northern Black Hills region,” according to John Senden, Community Bank – Spearfish president.  “Wells Fargo could not make a better investment than   helping educate our future leaders and continuing our long term partnership with BHSU.”

The donation will be used for three $1,000 academic scholarships, one for education and two for business, and  $3,000 in athletic funds.

“The continued generosity of Wells Fargo is proof of the strong relationship between BHSU and the business community.  We thank Wells Fargo for their support as the scholarship funds will continue to transform lives at BHSU,” said Steve Meeker, vice president of University Advancement at BHSU.
