Faculty welcomed back to campus

Faculty Welcome Week begins Monday, Aug. 27, at Black Hills State University, with sessions for new faculty members.

New faculty and staff are encouraged to have their photographs taken by the Marketing and Communications staff Monday, Aug. 27 in Jonas Hall, room 104 from 8-8:30 a.m. Returning faculty and staff are welcome to have an updated photo taken Wednesday, Aug. 29 in Meier Hall, room 128 from 8-9 a.m.

All faculty and staff are then invited to the "State of the University” address presented by BHSU President Dr. Kay Schallenkamp in the recital hall in Meier Hall from 9-10 a.m. Following the address will be the first annual President’s Challenge, taking place from 1-4 p.m. The annual faculty/staff picnic will be held that evening at 5:30 p.m. in Ida Henton Park on the BHSU campus.

College meetings for all faculty members will be held Thursday, Aug. 30. Faculty breakout sessions will also be held Thursday at 1 p.m.

The week will conclude Friday, Aug. 31 with the annual President's Cup Golf Classic at 1 p.m. at the Spearfish Canyon Country Club. All faculty and staff are invited to participate.
