'Market Your Business on Facebook for Beginners,' to be held at the University Center

A workshop, “Market Your Business on Facebook for Beginners,” will be held at the University Center-Rapid City, Thursday, May 23 from 9 a.m. to noon in room 106.

The SD Center for Enterprise Opportunity (SD CEO), located on the campus of Black Hills State University, has partnered with Black Hills PR to offer this workshop. This hands-on workshop will be geared to the beginner to better understand how to use Facebook to market your business.

Workshop topics will include: building a Facebook page for your business; understanding the marketing tools available on Facebook; tips on completing your profile and inviting people to your new page; using the Admin features and what data to use to measure results; and strategies for posting, sharing good content, and fan interaction.

Having a presence on Facebook is a smart marketing move for many companies and non-profits. Having a strategy and understanding some of the basics will help participants see faster results using the platform. “The goal of this fast-paced workshop is to provide a ‘quick start success plan’ using Facebook with real-world tools and tips that can be put to use right away,” says Michelle Kane, owner of Black Hills PR and workshop presenter.

Kane helps clients rethink new media, client relationships, and revenue streams.
