QuickBooks for advanced users to be held at University Center

A QuickBooks training for beginners will be held at the University Center-Rapid City, Thursday, May 9 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Computer Lab 106.

The South Dakota Center for Enterprise Opportunity (SD CEO) at Black Hills State University has partnered with the CPA firm of Casey Peterson and Associates, Ltd., to bring this day-long seminar to Rapid City.

Leah Heidler, a four-year member of the accounting and tax team of Casey Peterson and Associates, will present the seminar. She is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor and a regular webinar presenter for the firm’s online QuickBooks training classes. Heidler specializes in the farm and ranch industry, but also works with a number of other small businesses in the areas of accounting software setup, consulting, troubleshooting, as well as bookkeeping, financial reporting, payroll, and sales tax.

Attendees will learn how to:  work with the item list, accounts payable and accounts receivable; track sales tax; use class tracking and perform payroll. They will also be able to understand financial statements and receive useful tips and tricks for using QuickBooks. Heidler will also provide all the accounting knowledge needed for the QuickBooks software.
