BHSU art student unveils talent

Black Hills State University student Bruce Speidel, sophomore art major from Sundance, Wyo., recently unveiled his painting talents at the Crook County courthouse in Sundance, Wyo.

A local resident from Sundance, Harold Crowl, arranged for Speidel to produce a painting that would be donated to the Crook County Courthouse. The painting features a herd of buffalo grazing beneath Sundance Mountain.

Speidel spent over 250 volunteer hours on the painting. He will sell a limited number of prints with proceeds going to the Royal Rangers and Missionettes youth groups in Sundance.

Speidel has painted many wildlife and landscape scenes which can be seen around local businesses in Spearfish and Sundance.
