BHSU student crowned Black Hills Stock Show Rodeo Queen

Black Hills State University student Gina Jespersen, elementary education major from Hemingford, Neb., was crowned Miss Black Hills Stock Show Rodeo Queen this past weekend.

Jespersen also won the speech and photogenic awards during the ceremony held Saturday night at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center in Rapid City.

The event is part of the annual 10-day stock show which attracts more than 300,000 from across the region.

Accordingto the Panhandle Post, Jespersen was crowned Box Butte County Fair in 2006, Miss Rodeo Ak-Sar-Ben in 2011, and was a finalist for Miss Nebraska Rodeo Queen at Nebraskaland Days in North Platte last summer.
