A QuickBooks training for advanced users will be held at the University Center- Rapid City, Friday, Nov. 9 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Computer Lab 106.
The South Dakota Center for Enterprise Opportunity (SD CEO) at Black Hills State University has partnered with the CPA firm Casey Peterson and Associates, Ltd., to bring this day-long seminar to Rapid City.
Leah Heidler from Casey Peterson and Associates, Ltd. will present the seminar. Heidler is a member of the accounting and tax team at Casey Peterson & Associates and has been with the firm for four years. She is a QuickBooks ProAdvisor and a regular webinar presenter for the firm’s online QuickBooks training classes. Heidler specializes in the farm and ranch industry, but also works with a number of other small businesses in the areas of accounting software setup, consulting, troubleshooting, as well as bookkeeping, financial reporting, payroll, and sales tax.
Attendees will learn how to: create a detailed look at the item list, use double-sided items to implement job costing, use price levels, track time, inventory and sales tax, properly record liabilities on the balance sheet, perform payroll, use sub-accounts, understand equity accounts, customize reports, understand financial reports, enter and reconcile credit card charges, make journal entries, and use class tracking to track income and expenses for different locations.
