The South Dakota Center for Enterprise Opportunity (SD CEO), the women’s business center at Black Hills State University, will host the monthly Women in Networking (WIN) lunch at the Spearfish Holiday Inn Swarm Room Tuesday, Oct. 9 from 12 noon to 1 p.m.
WIN is a membership-based group that provides networking opportunities for women. “Join us to learn how networking can help you succeed in personal or business growth,” says Helen Merriman, director of the SD CEO, which is located on the BHSU campus. Meetings are held monthly on the second Tuesday. Members are welcome from any community in the Black Hills and may bring a door prize to promote their business.
No membership commitment is needed to attend the first meeting. Registration for each monthly meeting is $15 and includes lunch. Annual membership is $40 and can be completed through online registration at www.BHSU.edu/SDCEO or by phone at (605) 642-6435.
The SD CEO is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Association (SBA), and is part of a network of more than 110 centers nationwide established through the SBA’s women’s business funding. While services are available to all those interested in entrepreneurship, there is a special emphasis on women, women veterans, Native Americans, the socially and/or economically disadvantaged, and youth entrepreneurs.
