Operation Joint Thunder emergency training exercise held on BHSU campus

The training was a collaborative effort with the Lawrence County Office of Emergency Management, South Dakota National Guard, BHSU staff and students, Spearfish Volunteer Fire Department, Spearfish Police Department, S.D. Highway Patrol, Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department, Spearfish Ambulance Service, Spearfish Regional Hospital and the S.D. Office of Emergency Management. The purpose of the exercise was to introduce an emergency scenario and create interaction between the military and emergency responders.
