The changing world of Brazil to be the topic of a presentation at BHSU

Black Hills State University will present “The Changing World of Brazil” Friday, April 27 from 12-1 p.m. in the David B. Miller Student Union, Jacket Legacy Room.

Dr. John Alsup, professor of math education, attended and presented at the Fourth Annual Global Studies Conference in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, during the summer of 2011.  Following the conference, he took a boat up the Amazon River, visited some of Brazil's main cities, and concluded by viewing the spectacular Iguazu Falls.  His presentation will include highlights of the conference, information about the current government and economic growth in Brazil, and feature the country's impressive landmarks and natural beauty.

The presentation is sponsored by the BHSU Multicultural Committee and is free and open to the public.
