Black Hills State University will host the production of Exit the King by Eugene Ionesco, Thursday, Feb. 23 through Saturday, Feb. 25 at 7:30 p.m. in the Woodburn Theatre.

Exit the King is set in the crumbling throne-room of the palace in an unnamed country where King Berenger the First has only the duration of the play to live. Once, it seemed he ruled over an immense empire and commanded great armies, now his kingdom has shrunk to the confines of his garden wall. Refusing to accept his end, he is attended by his present and former queens who must help him face the final inevitable truth of life—death.

Cast members of the production include: Jake Spivey, psychology major from Lusk, Wyo.;  Ann Thompson, mass communication major from Spearfish;  Jake Roman, speech communication major from Spearfish; Theo Schmidt, speech communication major from Hot Springs; Hannah Kloiber, business administration major from Parker, Colo.; and Emily Gass, elementary education major from Yankton.

Ticket prices are $7 for general admission and $5 for non BHSU students and seniors. For more information about the BHSU Theatre program, visit www.BHSU.edu/Theatre.
