The E.Y. Berry Library-Learning Center at Black Hills State University will have an open house Friday, Feb. 10 at 2 p.m.
The open house will highlight recent renovations and allow the community to learn about new advances in library technology, equipment, and collections.
“This open house is a great opportunity to connect with the campus and local community. During the open house we will share the library's work in supporting the University's mission, and showcase the library's extensive collections on the history of the Black Hills region," said Dr. Rajeev Bukralia, dean of Educational Outreach and Libraries.
Librarians will be available during the open house to provide tours and computers will be set up to showcase library resources.
The E.Y. Berry Library was first library in the state to implement the electronic catalog system which led to the inception of the statewide library network. Leading the way, the library was also the first in the state to include a coffee shop and wireless laptops for students and is the only university in the state that has an active library media minor program.
The open house is open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
