The SD Center for Enterprise Opportunity will host a QuickBooks Training for advanced users at Black Hills State University Tuesday, Aug. 23 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The SD CEO has partnered with the CPA firm Casey Peterson and Associates, Ltd., to bring a day-long seminar to BHSU.
Theresa Hook, a member the accounting team at Casey Peterson and Associates, will be facilitating the training.
Hook is the firm’s QuickBooks expert and has been a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor since 2003. In 2009, she became a Certified Consultant for the Sleeter Group Community Network, a community of experts in accounting software. This year Hook was certified in QuickBooks Point of Sale.
Attendees will learn how to: create a detailed look at the item list; use double-sided items to implement job costing; use price levels; track time, inventory, and sales tax; properly record liabilities on the balance sheet; perform payroll; use sub-accounts; understand equity accounts; customize reports; understand financial reports; enter and reconcile credit card charges; make journal entries; and use class tracking to track income and expenses for different locations.
