The South Dakota Center for Enterprise Opportunity at Black Hills State University will host business seminars on Small Business Administration (SBA) funding programs in Faith and Lemmon on March 10.
Guest speaker, Jim Shaw senior area manager of the Small Business Administration (SBA) and a former four-term mayor of Rapid City, will discuss the SBA’s available business funding programs. A question and answer session will follow.
The seminars will be held at the City Hall Board Room in Faith from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and in Lemmon at the Dakota Lodge from 2-3:30 p.m. Registration for the seminar is required by March 7. Interested parties may register online at www.BHSU.edu/SDCEO, or by phone at (605) 642-6435.
The SD CEO is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Association (SBA) and provides business assistance and training to current and prospective entrepreneurs from start-up to expansion in order to foster economic development in South Dakota. While services are available to all those interested in entrepreneurship, there is a special emphasis on women, women veterans, Native Americans, the socially and/or economically disadvantaged, and youth entrepreneurs.
