BHSU Dance Marathon events will benefit Children's Miracle Network

The Black Hills State University Dance Marathon will host a series of themed-events to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network at Rapid City Regional Medical Hospital.

The group, consisting of BHSU students, will host Parent’s Night Out Feb. 14 from 5:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. at the Living Room, located at 810 Yale St., on the corner of Jackson and Yale St. in Spearfish. Snacks will be provided for children along with activities throughout the evening. Cost is $10 for the first child and $8 for each additional child in the same family.

Bingo for Babies will be held Feb. 28 and again March 28 at 7 p.m. at Club Buzz in the BHSU Student Union. Cost will be $1 per card with prizes for bingo winners.

Other fundraising activities include Tac-Ball on March 14 at 7 p.m. at the Donald E. Young Sports and Fitness Center Field House and Fill ‘er Up which will take place March 30.
The Dance Marathon will wrap up its fundraising efforts April 2 from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. at the Donald E. Young Sports and Fitness Center with their main event, Sting-A-Thon. Each hour of the event will consist of a different theme which will be disclosed at the event and will be accompanied by events that compliment each theme.

Dance Marathon is a nationwide movement, involving college and high schools students at over 150 schools across the country raising money for the Children’s Miracle Network hospital in their community. Students spend a year learning invaluable leadership and social skills, while raising funds.
