Alumni photography show in Ruddell Gallery

Sixteen former Black Hills State University photography students will be exhibiting work in the Ruddell Gallery, located in the David B. Miller Yellow Jacket Student Union on the BHSU campus, April 3 - April 22.

The exhibition includes more than 50 photographs from former photography students representing more than two decades of innovative photography at BHSU. Some of these past photography students have gone on to exciting and rewarding careers or have started businesses in commercial art, fashion, fine art and magazine, wedding and portrait photography. Others have pursued graduate degrees in photography or photojournalism.

Participating photographers include: John Engelbrecht, Ray Tysdal, Collin Fowlkes, Mark Norby, Jerry Rawlings, Janette Hettick, Lisa Glover-Jenner, Chad Coppess, Terry Palmer, Nicole Hollerman, Amanda Mutchler, Dorothy Snowden, Mike Palmer, Mike Brick, Jody Dirks and Heidi Newland.

The exhibition includes color, black and white, mixed media and alternative silver processes.

The Ruddell Gallery is open Monday – Thursday, 7 a.m. – 10 p.m.; Friday, 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Saturday, 12 p.m. – 5 p.m.; and Sunday, 2 p.m. – 10 p.m. For more information contact Steve Babbitt, professor of mass communications at BHSU, at 642-6769.
