Dakota Chamber Orchestra to present fall concert

The Dakota Chamber Orchestra will present their fall concert Sunday, Nov. 14 at 2:30 p.m. in the Meier Recital Hall on the campus of Black Hills State University. The Dakota Chamber Orchestra is a chamber orchestra consisting of BHSU students and string players from the community and surrounding areas.

Their fall concert titled “Themes and Variations” will feature a variety of works including the music of Handel, Mozart, Rossini, Stravinsky and arrangements of folk music of American and England. Included in the concert will be Mozart’s Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Variations.

There is no admission charge, but donations for music scholarships will be collected at the door. For additional information, contact the conductor of the Dakota Chamber Orchestra and professor of music at BHSU, Dr. Randall Royer, at 642-6255 or Randall.Royer@BHSU.edu.
