BHSU student organizations participate in community carnival

Nearly 10 Black Hills State University student organizations participated and sponsored activities at the Children’s Carnival that was recently held at the Spearfish Recreation Center. Sociology and Human Services Club member, Kelly Smith, junior human services and sociology major from Lead, pose with carnival goer, Amelia Klug, and Dr. James Awbrey, assistant professor of social science and advisor of the Sociology and Human Services Club. Nearly 1,100 people attended the event where 40 booths were set up with activities for children in the community to participate in.
