BHSU announces Swarm Parade winners

Best community organization float for the Black Hills State University Swarm Days parade was won by the BHSU Alumni Association.
Black Hills State University Swarm Days parade winner for best student organization float went to the International Student Organization.

Black Hills State University students and the Spearfish community displayed their homecoming spirit during the recent Swarm Days parade. The parade, with the theme “Buzzin’ on the Beach,” included more than 100 entries.

The best community business float award was won by Cut & Style; best community organization float award went to the BHSU Alumni Association; best overall float award was won by Humbert/Pangburn Hall; best residence hall float award went to Thomas/Heidepriem Halls; and the best student organization float award was won by the International Student Organization/Calypso Breeze.

The Swarm Day student volunteers thank the community for their support and participation in the BHSU homecoming parade. The parade this year was the largest Swarm Day parade in the last decade, according to Dr. Jane Klug, director of student services.
