Black Hills State University faculty and staff are transforming live and making headlines.
Kent Meyers, writer-in-residence and associate professor of humanities, was invited by the editors of 2010 edition of The Best of the West: New Stories From the Wide Side of the Missouri to write the Foreword, and it appears as the essay “Why All the Law.” The Best of the West is published by The University of Texas Press, and is an anthology of the best short fiction published in journals and magazines throughout the country during the previous year. The stories must be written by writers living west of the Missouri, or be written about the American West.
Dr. Erin Holmes, director of Institutional Research and Assessment, had a chapter published in Speaking Green with a Southern Accent: Environmental Management and Innovation in the South. Holmes’ chapter, which is drawn from her dissertation, is on policy instruments used in the Southern States.
