BHSU students move in

 
 

Vehicles from across the state and nation loaded with students’ belongings, including this Suburban from Missouri, were seen on the streets of Spearfish Sunday as new Black Hills State University students moved into their residence halls. Nearly 100 volunteers were on hand to direct traffic, assist with unloading of vehicles, and welcome new students and their families to campus. BHSU classes began Tuesday. Returning students, Morgan Miles and Katelyn Lamb who are both members of the women’s basketball team, were among the many volunteers who assisted new BHSU students move into their residence halls. Dr. Lois Flagstad, Vice President for Student Life at BHSU, notes that BHSU students and parents expressed appreciation for the welcoming atmosphere provided by the volunteers. Students from South Dakota, 66 counties, 48 states, and 22 countries, are enrolled in classes at BHSU this fall.
