BHSU Career Center hosts job fair

Pictured is Luke Peterson, along with another Black Hills State University student, visiting with a recruiter from Kiewit, one of North America’s largest construction and mining organizations. Kiewit attend the job fair in November and as a result hired Peterson, one of BHSU’s business students for employment this May. Peterson will be working in the Dallas/Fort Worth district as a Business Manager Level One.

Approximately 170 students and 56 businesses attended the annual job fair at the Student Union on the Black Hills State University campus. 

New this year was a networking reception for the faculty and staff which took place after the fair, hosted by the Career Center. More than 22 faculty and staff members visited with the employers during the networking session and fair.

In addition to full time positions students learned about internships and part-time and summer employment opportunities in a wide variety of fields.
