Dr. Nancy Hall, dean of the College of Education at Black Hills State University, was presented the Exemplary Leadership in Establishing a Collaborative Partnership with Rapid Area Schools Award, from the Rapid City School Board.

“This recognition is particularly meaningful to me and to the College of Education because we could not do our work in preparing outstanding teachers without a strong partnership with K-12 school districts,” notes Hall. “Our relationship is mutually beneficial in that we both focus on facilitating high levels of learning by all children in the schools as well as providing exemplary school environments for coaching and mentoring new teachers. We learn from each other and we explore and apply the newest research regarding teaching and learning.”
