BHSU plans Egyptian Kingdom tour in 2011

Black Hills State University is making plans for an Egyptian Kingdom Tour next summer. The tour will be escorted by Roger Miller, associate professor of geography at BHSU.

Faculty, students, staff, and the community are welcome to attend the informational meeting where a PowerPoint presentation, brochures, Education First Enrollment Booklets, and other materials will be available. The informational meeting will be held at in Jonas Hall 309 on the BHSU campus at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 22.

The proposed 10-13 day college study tour to Egypt will begin June 11, 2011. Near Cairo, students will have the opportunity to see the pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx before flying to Luxor for a four-day cruise on the Nile, which includes a visit to the Valley of the Kings. Many ancient temples and sites are visited prior to boarding a train back to Cairo for the famous Egyptian Museum. Optional tour stops are in Abu Simbel and Alexandria.
